Soraka staff WIP - 1

League of legends Soraka detachable staff

Base shape is drawn and then cut out from regular insulation foam. I scraped out a 1-2inch hole where the dowel is glued in place and then put on 1-2 layers of plaster ($6 bucket from Home depot). Once it's dry, sand it down and if needed, put another layer if you sanded too far down to the foam layer. I just used a small B&D Mouse sander (also from home depot). Once it's all smooth and all the plaster powder is cleaned off, I painted one layer of white acrylic. There are 3 parts to the staff which will be connected via two double headed screws and tee nuts (that's why the dowel stops after a foot or so) Next up is the base colour and then details

As with all sanding, please use a mask and goggles. I wore a mask made for mixing chemicals (since I major in Textiles [link] although it's probably a little overkill) and I still found plaster powder all over my head and mask
